I am going to be releasing an mIRC DLL SDK in the next month (or so). I've seen and written enough mIRC DLL's to know that many DLL programmers (including myself) will recycle code from one project to the next. Thus was the reason that static libraries (.lib files) were created.
I ask all DLL programmers to send me the Win32 (no MFC) functions that they reuse all the time.
When completed, the DLL SDK will have several libraries, include files, SDK source, and example source. It should save all DLL programmers a lot of time.
Note: I already have a nice group of functions for string handling and subclassing.
