/mode <channel> -b <nick> will trigger the UNBAN event

So what I'm suggestion is something similar for -i (Un-invite) and -e (un-except, for lack of better terminology)

isn't this a protocol issue, i.e the daemon would need to support it?

Why, if it wasn't supported by the ircd then the event would never trigger?

As per IRC Protocol 'e' and 'i' are not explicit. Besides, I see no problem with using raw mode, just would like to see better $mode implimentation.

I think so. I would've typed it as -I but I was having trouble with my shift key on that keyboard...sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't

First off, I'm appalled that you're quoting RFC1459. Have you read it? There are things in there that havn't worked since 1993.

Second off, +e (and I think +I) are RFC compliant... RFC2810-2813. The newer IRC specification.

Third off, +e and +I are standard any place they are type A mode chars.
