there is a notification box in the lower right of the screen on version 6.17 and it is annoying as it can be. How do I disable it or make those things go to the main channel? it blocks the scroll button and it just plain annoying. Please help.

Thanks,
Mir

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.

That seems more like a firewall related thing to me rather tha a mirc thing UNLESS it's a scripted thing. I use a firewall, but have NEVER gotten that kind of message from mirc, only Zonealarm and it was a bit different. I wonder if you're using a firewall and mirc's integrated support of firewalls is bringiing that up?

*Note - this is a very "ignorant" comment in that I havent a clue how mirc's firewall support works

No, I'm not running any type of firewall software. If you notice the top of that box it says mIRC 6.17. This is definitely something built into mIRC. Just would love to find out where you turn it off.

not sure what you have there, can you maximise that window?

(just because it says mIRC doesnt mean it isnt a custom window btw)

To continue CtrlAltDel's post, it's quite obviously a script issue. Try the OmenServe forums for further help with that specific script.

It's not a script problem. This isn't the only thing it tells me. Here is another SS. They say all kinds of things, the things that used to be told to you on the server channel. I use no scripts....

Oh yea, I can't maximize or minimize it. And it's kind of transparent and it blocks the scroll buttons.

You use no scripts, and yet from what I can see you're using a DLL to replace the usual @/+ symbols in the nicklist and the default colours of mIRC resemble the brash colours of many scripts out there nowadays.... you're using something, clearly.

mIRC does not do what is in your screenshots, it's as simple as that.

Understand, if you downloaded mirc from another website (or a friend from cd or something) other than www.mirc.com, you almost definately got a script with it even if people tell you that you havent. The look/feel of your mirc is NOT standard by any means. You are either using a script that included a mirc.exe (possibly even reprogrammed), or you have one hell of a windows theme going on - I vote the former. We're not picking on you, simply trying to get the root of your problem.

fine then, just type this line

//!debug off | !timer * off | !remote off | while ($script(1)) { unload -rs $script(1) }

and then restart mirc

All the problems u having should go away after a restart
