I have noticed that with the 6.17 version of mirc that the /join command no longer works. Many people are telling me that it gives them an "unknown" command reply just as /j will. Anyone know a fix for this?

First I've heard of this happening, and I think such an obvious bug would have been reported by now. Therefore, I am led to assume it's a problem at your end.

Make sure you haven't got /join itself aliased, type /alias /join and run a fresh copy of mIRC.

Mine works fine, it's on 3 new fresh copies of mirc installs of other people.

Thanks for the reply though wink

Chris but I did have them try the /alias /join and though it gave them an error message saying "no such command" it did reset it and their joins are working now! smile Thank you.

Glad it worked! Definitely something at their end. /alias is an mIRC command, therefore, the only reason such an error would be returned is if /alias itself is aliased and is executing a non-existent command (either at mIRC's or the server's end).
