/whois <nick>
Returns the info in your status window.

What do you mean with whois everyone?
You want to whois everyone that joins? Or just do a whois on everyone in the channel?

an onjoin /whois for everyone that joins a channel .. and /whois nick doesn't send it to the status window, it puts the whois in where ever you happen to be .. I need the whois to go to the status window instead of doing that

Weird, when I use this script:

on *:JOIN:*:{ whois $nick }

The whois is being displayed in the status window for everyone that joins one of the channels that I'm on.
Perhaps there are some switches available to force it to go to the status window?

To change where the whois info is displayed, press Alt + O to open the mIRC options. On the left click the 'IRC' section and on the right, uncheck 'whois' under 'Show in Active'.
