my irc disconnects every 5 mins when i dont talk .. how can i stop this from happening ?

plzz help

1. This is not IRC, it's a message board. You might not get any responses for several hours (much less the 18 minutes between your posts).

2. It would be extremely helpful if you provided us with a little bit of documentation (mirc version, network, windows version, connection type (dial-up, dsl, cable), scripts loaded into your mirc, the actual disconnect message). Any of these things can have some bearing on the problem.

really this isnt irc? i would have never of known ... i suppose you would need 600+ posts like you to tell the difference, also i can tell the time so kktybye ...

Well, so much for helping someone that wants to be smart instead of providing information. Good luck finding someone here that can read minds.

on the other part of the forum you were telling me not to cross post ect... you could have jst tried 2 help me instead of beeing a sado....

CTRL ALT DEL are you an admin or somthing? if not why were u going on about me cross posting in the other forum? i find that very sad...

how do you expect to get any help if you

1. don't provide any information about problem
2. insult others who WISH to help you
3. act like an idiot

because i didnt like the guys attitude... telling me not 2 cross post ect... needs 2 get a life....

There is nothing wrong with people asking you not to cross post - it is against the rules on this (and almost every other) forum, and every helper's assistance in running the forum is appreciated. If you feel better having someone who is in charge telling you what to do here, then listen to me instead: Don't cross post, thanks. Your other thread has been deleted.

Almost all of the information we have on the disconnection message you're experiencing can be found in this sticky thread. I know it's a long thread but try to read through it and follow any instructions that apply to you. Also see CtrlAltDel's first post here, and follow his advice in posting the information required.
