Forums Scripts & Popups Scanning a text file

How one would scan a text file, which say may contain the following:

red cow
blue house
orange dog

And then have the script echo a given line, perhaps a line beginning with red in the text file.

I have read the /help file on write commands and I cannot for the life of me figure this one out.

You can also use the /filter command.

/help /filter
