Hi,
If I double-click on an URL, my text editor is opened. I think there is a bug in your URL launcher. How do you launch URLs?

This does not happen to anyone else (it would have been reported 700,000,000 times by now if this were the case), so one would assume you have a script which has broken it - the ON HOTLINK event is the way in which this can happen. Try in a fresh copy of mIRC.

I would assume that some textpad program registered the .html extension to the shell so they are now opened with that editor instead of "insert your fav browser here".

Regards, This is on a fresh copy. BTW, there's a difference between anyone and everyone else.

After a bottle of wine, I can't be held responsible for the quality of my English As you are obviously aware that this is not a bug, and seemed to know this before posting, I have moved this thread to the mIRC Help forum. Regards,

Regards, I'm not aware of that. Actually, I'm quite sure it *is* a bug. So could you move it back please?

Certainly, when I can see how this may be a bug in mIRC itself. At the moment, I don't see a very good description of any bug, but I'm quite possibly misinterpreting! Please explain indepth for us noobs Regards,

Please explain indepth for us noobs Regards, The bug is that mIRC appears to be looking at the .html launcher instead of using ShellExecute or the HTTP launcher.

Okay, there still seems to be a little question mark over whether this is a bug or not (after speaking to someone online about this too), but I guess it's for Khaled to decide. Moved back Regards,
