Hi
I have been using Mirc for over 2 years. I have had it on my laptop. I just downloaded and put it on my PC. Well, in 2 years I seem to have forgotten how I set it up.

I set all the settings the same as my laptop. The problem I am having is that after I open Mirc and connect. I end up with a ton of open channels that I never wanted to go on. The 2 that I do have to join on connect do not connect. How do I stop this auto joining? I do not have that checked in the settings. Any help here?

The default settings for mIRC does not include any auto-join channels. It does include an auto-display of the channels that have been put into the favorites. If you're auto-joining channels, then you're either running one or more scripts that forces you to join those channels (type /remote off to disable this possibility) and/or you're joining a network (or networks) where the IRCops/Admiminstration requires you to join a specific channel upon connection to the network.

If the latter, all you can do is not connect to that network, as this is done using server level commands, which mIRC has no control over.

When I log onto undernet I end up with over 15 different mp3 group windows opened, and over 15 different porn messages open after that. I don't have either option mentioned. I haven't been able to do anything with the new download of mirc because of this problem. As soon as I close the windows, they pop right back on. Within seconds.
I have a page print pic if I can send it to someone to see. Please let me know.
