is it possible in mirc to hear what others are playing for both .wav files or .mp3 files? i tried the /splay but don't seem to work like when a friend on different computer plays a .wav or .mp3 file i can hear it from my different computer if i do have same exact file he/she played

any help will be appreciated thanks

One of the following must be for you to hear what someone else is playing:
A) You have a file with the same name (usually the same file, but not necessarily)
B) They are using a radio broadcast format, like shoutcast.

it works on pirch98 but only on .wav files through ctcp i think, was just wondering if mirc can do that

mIRC does do that.
to enable that feature type /sound on and hit the enter key, in a mIRC window (channel area where you type to talk)

sound was on, i did that again by typing /sound on and it says * Sound requests are on i put the .wav file in my mirc sounds folder and type /sound #testing the_name_ of_ the_ song.wav but still it'll say * /sound: no such file 'the_name_of_the_song.wav'. i tried on myself by using two mirc clients and put the .wav file in both mirc's sounds folders but nothing

in a channel window try
//sound # $sfile(sounds\*)

that don't seem to do anything different, except opened the open window for me to pick song from and open or play but, still it it gave me same message saying * there's no such file. it works on /splay tho but why can't i get /sound # mysoundwav.wav ?
