hello

is it possible to change the way text scrolls?

I mean by default in mirc, text scroll downwards, which means new text appears in the bottom

some people, may find more relaxing for their eyes and for the position of their pc-screens to read new text on top

is it possible to do it?

with windows maximized maybe...

I think it could be done with a custom window.. something like this in on TEXT/ACTION/ETC events:

iline @#channel 1 $1-

Actually, the text scrolls up, not down, but, as genius at work says, it would be possible in a custom window.

I think part (if not all) of the reason that the text scrolls the way it does, new lines at the bottom, is because that is the way most people read, top to bottom. I do realize that there are some exceptions)

how do I set it for all windows?

you dont, they are talking about something you could script in, it could be done to channels but would reqire capturing of all events going to the window.
