Could you please provide a way to part a channel without closing the window?

Why would you want to keep a channel window open if you're not in the channel?

To read the backlog? To join again sometime later and have a decent scrollback buffer instead of the colorless version? Why does it matter? It stays open when you get kicked from the channel, so the code is already there. Just make a switch for /part and we're all happy
