Forums Connection Issues Can no longer connect to dalnet but can to others

I have been connecting to dalnet for a month now and all of a sudden can no longer since 2 days ago. Message is unable to connect to server and then connection is timing out. I can however connect to undernet or othernet or any of the other nets just not dalnet which is where I want to be. I tried to reinstall mirc and didnt do anything. Please help me. Thanks much!

Check out DALnet's Servers list and connecting to an individual server. Make sure you also try connecting to irc.dal.net. Sometimes when I cannot connect to that address I use mesra.dal.net or slimey.dal.net.

You may also try using another port, such as 6669 or 7000.

If you don't know, the command is:

/server mesra.dal.net 7000 (for example)

I have tried all of those, mesa, hotspeed, random, jade. etc. and they all try with diff ports still nothing.

Odd.

Seeing as you can connect to other networks just fine, it must be a DALnet issue - try finding a contact email address on their website (www.dal.net) and asking them. Provide your IP address/ISP.

You could just wait 12-24 hours and try again too, before contacting DALnet staff.

I too am now haveing trouble connecting to Dalnet. I constantly get the "connection refused" error message. I connect to other networks with no problem. All of Dalnets server (using different ports too) give me that error message. Then I can connect via a bnc in a heart beat. *shrug*

So it seems then that it is not just me and they might be having the problem so that makes me feel better. I can be patient just wanted to make sure I did not have a problem on my end. Thanks for the input!!!
