A friend told me if i get Mirc excursion that i will be able to log onto realmnet to get Karaoke but i cant seem to log onto anything its saying eaither connection timed out or booted from survrer or something stupid like that i just got it and i payed my cash to have it but i cant use it..

Visit http://www.portforward.com/ and forward (open) the port(s) you choose to use for mIRC. Usually these are going to include 6660-6670 and 113. You may also need to forward other ports if there is any dcc chatting/sending going on. The ports you'd forward for that are whatever ports you have set up in Alt-O > Connect > Options > Advanced. You can change those ports in there if you want (and limit the range to something smaller).

i Tryed What it said and now this is what comes up (unable to join channel )(address is banned) so what do i do now

Then you are banned for some reason. It could be a global ban on your IP (or a range that includes your IP). You can try getting in later or try to message an op in the channel to ask why you're banned in that channel. You may even be lucky enough to find someone in a #help channel who will go in and ask the ops about the ban for you.

Well it looks like i wasted my time and money on this stupid crap i did my best to try and get this running but no luck ooo well thats life i suppose

But its not what im looking for im looking for a place to get karaoke..no need to worry the heck with it have a get day..

mIRC is meant for chatting, not downloading movies or music, and karaoke definetly fits under the music category. Questions regarding Karaoke have been asked before, and it's my understanding that we don't assist with things like that, so you're lucky that you got the help that you did.

That said, there are always other channels/networks that have any of the information you search for.

As far as karaoke goes, I think that's a fine line. It depends exactly what kind of karaoke is available. Most are just the music without the words (basically MIDI files even if they are in MP3). I don't believe those are illegal to obtain and use. Still, the forum still does say that we don't help with any form of downloading. We can help with connection issues, but not help you to download stuff.
