trying to setup O.S., and am trying to do a DCC Chat to see if it will even work to begin with. I'm not having any luck doing a DCC Chat send from one computer in my home to another, and am wondering if maybe i'm missing a settin within mIRC? any help would be greatly appreciated. am using mIRC 6.16 on both computers....cable internet through a gateway/router...one computer has E-Trust Antivirus w/ Windows firewall enabled, the other McAffee Internet Security Suite Firewall 6.1.6144 LOL....hope i included enough info.

Make sure that your firewalls don't block the IP address for the DCC chat.
I've got Norton Personal Firewall on all of my systems, and a hardware firewall on my router. I have no problems doing DCC chat/send from one pc on my network to the other.

Make sure that your DCC options are set to accept a chat request, either automatically or via dialog.
