ive finally narrowed down what is happening when my mirc hangs for sometimes 30 secs to a minute at a time (very frustrating) I looked in my mirc install folder and i see files with similar names to 'mirc3250.tm_' being created up to 30MBs sometimes .. while that is occurring I'am frozen. I have acidmax installed and Mircryption .. any help appreciated!

Note : the # in the mirc file varies

Some script is backing stuff up or creating messed up files... perhaps one of the two you listed. Try viewing one in wordpad and see what you see. It could also be caused by a trojan.

If you're running a serving script, it could simply be that it's indexing your files. If you have a lot of files, this can take time.

Otherwise, good scanners for trojans are:
Ad-Aware
Spybot Search & Destroy

Good browser hijacker scanner (obviously not what you need here):
Hijackthis

Just be careful what you remove when using thse programs, as they can bring up legitimate files. Usually, you can tell what's legitimate just by the extension or extra information given about the file.

well I checked everything I coud, definitely not a virus. I was finally able to copy one of those .tm_ files before it deleted itself. If you look below I pasted a small amount of the contents and it looks like its just logs of toms of stuff. But I checked everywhere I I could in mirc and none of my channels are set for logging so I don't know why mirc is indexing or whatever its doing with this data:

It looks like a !seen script's data. You should check your scripts for any !seen scripts and disable them. Most likely, you have !seen data for thousands of users from many different channels, which is why it's so large.
