Hi

My Question is, is there a way to manually place a Temporary and/or Timed ban using a line command ie: /mode or /ban [color:blue]on the dancer ircd server?

I can do this through the use of the nicklist popup through my mIRC but java users on the server don't have this ability and was wondering if infact this command is possible.

Thanks for any help anyone might have.

Well, the -u switch with /ban can do it, however, /ban is a client command, not an ircd command - so as far as Java is concerned, I don't think there is. Speak to the Java client developers.

The problem is the fact that java interfaces don't allow as many commands as clients like mIRC do.

I think, this will work, but I can't say for sure.

in the room type
Code:
 /ban -ku60 <nick>

Note this presumes that you have the authority to kick/ban the person. There is no error checking done.
