Forums Connection Issues Accepts keep timing out, can anyone help me??

Having problems accepting files, I accept and the connection fails (times out), what can I do ?

95% likely you can do nothing, as this is normally the senders problem, he has passed you the wrong IP or more likely has a firewall or router blocking your access to the port he has specified for the dcc file transfer. The sender can be informed that its not working. (i guess you might be blocking the outbound connection, but its unliekly)

this problem is the same with many different sources how would I block outbound??

your firewall software is the normal cause, it well have internet access rules somewhere in it and you likely have one saying you cant make outbound connections
(ps: dont ask me where that is, i likely dont have your software, i use a cisco)

any help??
