Forums mIRC Help Unable to Execute mIRC

I have downloaded and installed mirc 6.16. When I try to run the program by double-clicking mirc.exe, nothing happens. What is the problem? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I can execute the mirc.hlp file, but for some strange reason the program will not run. Help!!!!!

Only thing that I can think of is that you managed to get a bad copy of the mIRC program. Download another copy of the installation executable, then install it over top of the one that's giving you trouble, and don't have it save the previous files or back them up.

Did you rename the mirc.exe file? If so,
the new name must begin with mirc

mirc my script.exe would work

my script mirc.exe would not
