Forums mIRC Help connection and ram

after installing mirc, i have expirienced some problems with my connection speed, its' download speed could get to max 3kb/s and that's including, website loading, reciving files through an IM and downloading files from diffrent webpages.
same thing happend with my upload speed but worse.
if any of u exprienced problems like i do, or know how to solve them or can tell me anything about it i'll be glad.

another issue which i would like to know about is why does the mirc's memory usage growing everyday when i stay at the same chat rooms with the same count of people inside and restart my comp once in a while.

As far as memory... make sure you don't have your buffer really high. Also, check to see what script(s) you are running. mIRC by itself should use very little memory. Usually it's a script causing issues.
