ok i know that some people have trouble playing mp3's in mirc with the /splay or /sound command. they sound crappy, scratchy, or just dont play. BUT did you know the same thing happens when you put an mp3 file into a webpage? I just put an mp3 file that sounds great in both WMP and Winamp into a webpage with the <embed> command, and opened it in IE....my GOD it was horrible!!!! So all of you that say that mirc has trouble with mp3's, it may NOT me mirc, it is WMP, cause that's what is used to play mp3's that are embedded in web pages.

just my 25 cents worth....something to think about

Alot has to do with the quality of the files too. Some people simply just don't know how to produce them.
