Hey,

I wanted to see if it was possible to write a script that worked like the notify feature except that it used the person's address instead of their nick. My two issues would be finding out if there is a way to tell if someone is on the server and not necessarily in a channel, and also how to get it to look at a section of their address. I know that the encrypted part changes, but my people on my list have distinctive ISP's, so I want to just use a wildcard, like *.whatever.net. Thanks.

Normally I would say no, but if you are IRCop/Admin and the IRCD you are using on the server supports it you might get "client connecting" notices.

Another thing to look at would be the way your server handles /who
You might be able to use /who *@*.host.net
