In Options... | IRC | Catcher
I always have "enable Catching For:" "URL's" checked, but uncheck "Web Browser:" "Open in a new window", and "Activet the window"

This is not sufficient. I do not want every URL ever seen to open in a window, whether it's foreground or not .. but I *DO* watch to catch the URLs. Can I somehow just keep populating the URL List window in mIRC without it popping up browsers all the time?

Thanks.

Everything in the Tools | Options ... | IRC (node) | catcher (node) screen is unchecked except "Enable Catching for: URLs"

And whenever any URL is posted into anychannel i'm in it opens a new tab in firefox and brings it to the foreground, even though I have explicitly turned those "features" off in mIRC ..

there needs to be a way to instruct mirc to just populate the URL window within mirc and *NOT* open the urls in a browser every time it sees one.
It's incredibly annoying.

First of all, don't cross-post, a single thread in one forum is enough. To the point, plain mIRC never opens a caught URL by itself. You must have some sort of 3rd-party script loaded that does that somehow, so you should either 1) get rid of the script, 2) look in the script's help files for info related to your problem, 3) contact the script author.
