Forums Feature Suggestions 3'rd mouse button

How about introducing some functions that use the 3'rd mouse button (mouse wheel)?

Closing a tab for example.

Or, make it scriptable

I'd like that. Currently I have to install M$'s Intellipoint for my intellimouse and add mIRC in the "Enable Program specific settings" so I can set the mouse button to (key combination) F12. Then I set /alias F12 { actionshere }
Along with /cF12 and /sF12 this gives me three actions for the mouse button. But it sure would be easier to just have a way to do it via mIRC without using up F key aliases.

I'd love this function too. Interesting thing to note tho, the scroll wheel shoudl work as per normal. If you have a mouse program that can program buttons, those functions would work in mirc too so if you had the middle button set up for a double click (like mine is currently) it will perform the proper MOUSE double click events from mirc's main menu.

Im not sure... maybe different mouses do different things....
But for me it works normally...

Whatever key I map to third mousebutton it works in every program (including mIRC)

Though there is one thing that makes me wonder sometimes...
When I dont assign no key for wheel/third button then it works like standard autoscroll (there appears little arrow and the page will scroll automatically....) this function works currently only for nicklist.... not for the actual channel 'pane'

hmmm - when I had it set for autoscroll I got the up/down arrows in mirc. Could be a driver issue? *Guessing* FYI, I have a Logitech wireless optical mouse/keyboard combo (I think it's called the Deskset LE or something)
