Can't connect to the Criten Network!! plz help me #12145 20/02/03 09:46 AM

It worked already good, but one day (i've nothing changed on my system!!) i've this problem. mIRC say's allways this:* Connecting to irc.criten.net (6667) - * Unable to connect (Connection refused) - * Cancelled connect - * Connecting to irc.criten.net (6667) - * Unable to connect (Connection refused) - * Connect retry #1 irc.criten.net (6667) - * Unable to connect (Connection refused) - * Connect retry #2 irc.criten.net (6667) I can connect to evey other server, but not Criten. Please help me somebody. Thanx from Germany madenhannes

I know from other users that they can connect to Criten. I've use HydraIRC as alternative IRC Tool and Hydra says this: [11:32] CONNECT Connecting to "irc.criten.net:6667" [11:32] CONNECT Resolving host name [11:32] CONNECT Connecting to 127.0.0.1:6667 [11:32] ERROR Socket Error (10061: The attempt to connect was forcefully rejected) [11:32] ERROR Unable to connect to IRC server [11:32] CONNECT Disconnected [11:32] CONNECT Connect attempt 1 of 110 failed, delaying retry for 30 seconds Whats the meaning of this???

Poppy Hoopy frood P Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 843 UK	It doesn't matter what IRC client you use. If the server is unreachable, for whatever reason, you won't be able to connect. Have a look again at criten's website, and see if there are any specific servers you could try connecting to, rather than random. I tried to connect to that specific network as well which I would have to say is having downtime on specific servers. My network is currently having the same problem. all i can say is probably wait it out and see what happens...til you can chat on that network, i would find another place to chat until then...I hope this is helpful to you
