Is it possible to add a character before a users name in the nicklist, and is it possible to do this so that the other uses in the channel see the change on their lists? I'm channel owner, so I have permissions to do things in the channel. Ideally, I'd like to have my own modes like op just for fun that I could set for a user. Also, what are the characters that are reserved, like @ for op. Thanks.

Almost forgot, if this works, I'd like to have something so that users couldn't change their names to one with my special characters. Would I have to have permissions to control NickServ to do something like that? (I don't)

I guess the only thing we can tell you is that it depends on the IRC software that the server uses, although I've never seen one I have no doubt that there will be one out there somewhere that does what you want.

@ and + are the only reserved characters defined in the original IRC protocol, however, I've seen ~, ., *, &, !, @, %, - and + being used by various networks.
