Hey,

i have a bug that when i double click on a channel and that popup pops up, the topic is messed up. instead of seeing the blocks for colour codes i see a rotated ¬. Anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

I used to get that kind of thing. Reinstalling windows seemed to fix it, but that isn't a solution I would recommend. I only did that because I had other problems at the time. Not very helpful, I know. Just letting you know that you aren't completely alone.

I too had that problem too, I thought it was something to do with the languages installed, so I went to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages tab > Unchecked both boxes. That seemed to have solved my problem.

One thing that can sometimes help is to change the 'System Font'
Start > Control Panel > [Appearance]

I dont call it bug, different fonts have different characters...
eg. the much discussed chr 160 is not whitespace for all fonts.

I had once characters like those, cant remember anymore what font it was... (I actually like it more then the 'standard' boxes, (I can see what is what, because bold, color, underline, etc are all different characters with that font laugh))

Well, i have my font set on the win 2k default (tahoma) and its not changed from this, so i dont think it'd have any influence
