Hi.
I have enjoyed IRC using the mIRC client for years.
I have noticed that it is soon a year since the last release was given out to the public.
I am wondering if there will be a new release sometime soon?

Almost one year since the last update, maybe the mods can tell if everything is ok, if there are some problems getting fixed, if Khaled is too busy or a long list of improves/bugs/ideas?

It is also remarkable that Khaled hasn't participated in the forums anymore since july 3rd last year.
In the past there'd be the every now and then interaction with him in the Bug Reports forum, to ask details about a bug report, or to let us know something has been fixed.
I've read on Wikipedia that supposedly Khaled is in college again, however, I don't know if that is fact or just a rumor. That's the problem with rumors, you don't know if they're true until someone confirms something.
Perhaps this would be a nice occasion for someone knowledgeable, preferably Khaled himself, to confirm something?

That's the problem with rumors, you don't know if they're true until someone confirms something. - It says as much on Khaled's about page. It's a pretty likely candidate for why there's less visible action on the forums on Khaled's part (assuming that's correct, I haven't noticed) and presumably will delay the release of any new versions of mIRC. I don't really see any need for updates or progress reports or whatever. There are no major issues with the current version so there's no rush for something new. As for comments/queries regarding bugs, they needn't necessarily be followed up via the forums.
Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

I think you interpreted my post wrongly. I'm not asking for new versions, nor for comments/queries regarding bugs, or any status reports. I was merely pointing out a fact. What I am wondering though is if mIRC will be continued, after getting the masters degree. It would seem natural for a person to do something with the degree you acquire, unless you do it just because you have an interest in it, without wanting to use the diploma for anything.
