It would be nice to have an identifier for seeing if an alias was used with a prefix. This would be useful for making aliases that can have different outputs if prefixed with an altering prefix (such as '.').

. already has one $show

And I dont think there are any other prefixes for aliases.

Thought i might mention, /ECHO -q as this well also work in supressing output if the alias was invoked using a . prefix
Although this isnt as definable as using $show to produce 2 specific outputs it is easier than going /IF $show { echo blah blah }
Everyone should be aware tho there is a difference between these two approches, the /ECHO -q does actually build the line of text then just supresses displaying it, with the /IF $show it never builds the line of text.

It is for a script to stop some server replies from showing smile
