instead of having all networks/channels on the same taskbar. there should be split line for each network and channels. there should be a option to select that and the size of it. if you have too many channels on 2/3 more networks it can be confusing.
Yes, something like this would be useful. Or a way to "minimize" the list of channels/queries for a particular network (similar to a tree format where you have the +/- "button" to expand or minimize).

If I understand you correctly then holding alt and clicking a status window button produces this effect.
