I am running an AMD 3200, 1ghz ram, winXP (32) w/ SP2 and all updates, AVG Antivirus, Nvidia Firewall (allowing MIRC), Windows Firewall (allowing MIRC). At that point I dont really have much else on.. Logitech Mouse / Keyboard drivers... everything else has been turned off or disabled before trying.

i finally got my problem fixed ... i had to install a older Mirc
to get rid of the iphlpapi.dll error ...
6.14 works fine smile

I read somewhere that many people had the same problem with 6.15- 6.16 ( not sure about the .15)
so i tried to install the 6.14
and it worked ...
if others want the 6.14 version ill try to find the URL to the old one so you other can get it too wink i dont have it in my head right now ... but ill see if i can find it again

im using AMD64 XP pro sp2

smile

uhm...i didnt add that signature ... heh
i almost did... must have been a glitch...

I know how to fix your MIRC error.
iphlpapi.dll
Easy Fix, its not the file.
Its mirc.
Open Mirc, do not connect to a server
Go to FILE
SELECT A SERVER...

Under Connect

Options -> Advanced...
Make Sure DCC & Other are NOT Checked
Check Use Random Ports
Make Sure Bind Sockets to IP Address is NOT Checked.
Click OK

This will solve the problem.

Next Step just incase.

Connect -> Identd

Enable Identd Server

User ID: Whatever you want
System: UNIX
Port: 113

CHeck Show Identd Requests and Enable Only when connecting.

If you have any other problems send me email @
