Are you getting an error message? if so what does it say. Usually someone can tell you right off the bat what it is by the message. Or are you on a router etc...that way we have a better understanding on how to help.

This has been a frequent question, altho the "solution" is varied depending on the user. As TheGame said, we need more info.. what disconnect error do you or others see for you? what OS are you using? Does the dcc actually start sending? Are you using a router/firewall? Are you disconnected from just mIRC or from your isp?

In general:
update router firmware/drivers
dont use server port 6667 to connect
uninstall any speed patches/speed boosters and clean your registry of what they've altered
try without any scripts youre using
if you are using XP, try with the firewall disabled

XP users seem to be having a time of it with 10053 error, especially during dcc. YOu can read thru this thread altho there are many many more, that one pretty much covers it.

Have you set your xp firewall up to allow dcc sends thru it? ditto your network and possibly your dsl settings. See this thread

Try disabling the xp firewall, and connecting to a server on any port other than 6667 and see if that helps.
