How can i change the toolbar buttons like connect/disconnect and stuff to something custom? i've tried right clicking but it looks all messed up then confused

The best way of doing it these days is using a dll. For doing the toolbar you would most likely need to use 2 different dll files.

#1) hOS.dll to hide the original toolbar built into mirc
and
#2) mdx.dll to create the new toolbar

You can get both of these from

www.mircscripts.org

I don't see MDX at ms.org, it is here though. There is a tutorial at ms.org though about creating a toolbar with MDX.

My mistake, I assumed mdx would be there since its probably one of the most used dlls.

you probably won't need hOS.dll to hide the mirc toolbar since there is an option to not display the toolbar... in mIRC 6.16 at least.

Indeed there is, but to change that option with a script you will have to send keystrokes to mIRC to make it open the "View" menu. That's not a very good idea.
