I've just discovered a need for it, wondering if anyone thinks its a good idea. Obviously it can be scripted within seconds but thats not the point

I personally dont see a need for it. Any use *I've* ever needed I could do with ignore or some other method. Mind if I ask what you're trying to do? Perhaps there's another way around it (tho you sound like you have a good idea of what you want done)

i just had someone on /notify but didn't want them on after a certian time cuz i have a sound when they log on. I could just as easily added /notify -r nickname in an on start event or just a timer to notify -r them (cuz i'd forget to do it manually) but same could be said about ban -u and ignore -u.

Since i don't think its been mentioned before theres obviously not a great deal of call for it, which was why i asked if others thought it might be useful, rather than just saying i think it should be added.

I have no use for it, but I'm sure I could come up with something. I'm on board.

If I knew now what I will know then... maybe things will have been different...

yes true. Well, this is really one of those "no harm" suggestions so if he adds it, great and if not, great smile Im not against it at all and while they're are methods around it (as you have demonstrated), it could be interesting to have.
