I have previously had mIRC on this system before, version 6.03
I am wanting to reinstall the program, but the install gets to 99% then freezes.
I am running XP pro.
Once I get the program install, I shouldnt need any more help, as I know this program quite well from previous uses.

You can likely just run the mirc.exe file now, if you had an install crash at 99% I think it may have jammed during the icon/start menu creation, the application is likely in and fine. Just make yourself a shortcut to the mirc.exe

The installation pack used to always freeze for me too for aslong as I can remember. Well, 6.03 and up. But at 99% all the files have been unpacked anyway so you're right. smile

Damn the last couple of days have been regarding installation issues. Maybe something is wrong with the servers or something. *shrugs*

But everything in the (mIRC help) board or mostly everything has been about installation issues. shocked

It seems to be a problem with only XP users. I'm still using Win 98 SE and I've never had an instalation problem. But then again I've only done a clean install once. All the others were upgrades on top of the last. /me shrugs. Maybe Khaled can nail this problem in the next version.

Ah, well thats quite possible as I've never used mIRC on 98/SE, so I can't say if that's the case for me too, but yes I use XP.

I don't think I'll be on the forums (or mIRC) when the next version is released I'm moving to Canada May 28th. So I hope the next version is released before then hehe.

I'd be Canadian a few years down the line when I've lost my 'British Accent'. Thanks for the welcoming hehe. smile

All the best,

-Andy.
