My current firewall is zonelabs security suite, and i am having trouble connecting to mIRC. If I disable my firewall I am able to use it, but I don't want to leave my computer open like that. I have changed the settings within to allow mIRC access to the internet, but I still have problems. Is there anything I can do to get by this. Also, I am not sure if I need to fill in the firewall section of mIRC and if so, I don't know what to put. Can anyone help?

I don't have ZASS myself (I only use ZA Pro and Free) however, I understand there is another setting that you need to set to allow IRC through.

A search on this site: http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs should provide you with the information - it is a frequently asked question there.

I hope this helps,

Ok. I use ZA aswell. I'll try to walk you through this.

[*]Open up the firewall
[*]Click Program Control on the left [*]Click the Programs tab near the top.
[*]Find mIRC in that list [*]Clik on the question marks or red "x"s, and click the green check mark (Allow) for each colomn.

And you should be good to go! laugh
