Is there a some idea for this !?!?!?

example :

I am on a channel and i dont have any buffer to receive.
My nickname is on the channel but i dont use the received buffer data...
This is like the PSY BNC when you go offline and nick stays on the channel...
Is there a option for this in mirc or in the future version of mirc...

Thanks...

You want to be in a channel but not have anything happen in the window?

You could just halt or the default channel text etc , but your really just dumping the stuff, your still there, Im sure what ever it is you mentioned does the same.

i think he might be complaining about ping time outs? i cant tell... but that makes sense to me theres nothign mIRC can do about a ping timeout it is upto the ircd to notice the user is a ghost and let the appropriate action be taken

This is entirely in the hands of the ircd developers. Some networks have a +d 'd'eaf usermode that stops the delivery of channel messages to your client, however this will stop all messages on all channels. See if '//mode $me +d' does what you're after.

A 'persistent connection' idea was spawned from ircd-hybrid that would allow a client to disconnect (but leave their nick online) and later log back in and assume the nickname, but I think this is still just an idea (I can't find the document anymore though).

Hope this helps smile

thats actually a rather neat idea its possible it could be achieved with a special ircd feature and services but i dont believe its pratical especially in the days of broad band and such plus its not a standard in the rfc i dont see it happening

Yes the +d options works great !!!!
But the problem is when i set +d ALL the channels are on +d frown
I want 1 of 3 channels to put on +d i thinks that this function do not exist frown
