Make sure the port settings and
local info are the same as 6.16

ports in 6.12
alt+o > dcc > options > 'DCC Ports' on the left

ports in 6.16
alt+o > connect > options > advanced button

alt+o > connect > localinfo
'on connect always get' > select 'ip address'
'lookup method' > select 'server'
click OK
while connected to a server type /localinfo -u

Is your firewall treating the programs differently? NIS at least lists each copy of mirc with its own rules.

This has nothing to do with you. it is 100% the fault of the sender.

Unless you're blocking that type of file, or you don't have enough free disk space to save it.

Neither of those produce that error message.

DCC Send from ABCD rejected (EFGH.txt, file type ignored)
DCC Get of EFGH.txt from ABCD incomplete (00:00:01 0.00 KB/Sec)
