how can you activate / deactivate rekeying in mIRC?

rekeying is when you type something and you wanna go back and edit something... it erases the letters with the newer ones instead of just correcting it...

it's difficult to explain but thats about it

i sometimes have that problem in the remote editor, it makes me mad, but saving the file im working on then closing/reopening it fixes it for me

It's overwriting text instead of inserting text?

Try hitting the 'Insert' key on your keyboard.

I'm not sure if this is way off topic but I think that happens with me too.

It happens in Notepad, when I'm typing some coursework up, and made a typo I go back using {LEFT}. When I try to correct the typo it overwrites the text after the typo.

In mIRC also, but as LostServ said if you click "Ok" in the remote editor and then re-open remotes it seems to work again.
