Take the following steps exactly like I say them:
  • Unzip the file band.dll to your main mIRC client where you will use it, to the main mIRC folder.
  • In your mirc, press alt+r which opens the Scripts Editor.
  • Go to the tab which is called "Remote" and paste the following in there:

    alias bdll {
    if $isid { return $dll(band.dll,$1,$$2-) }
    dll band.dll $1 $$2-
    }
  • Close the Scripts Editor by clicking "Ok"
  • You will use this alias from now on in the form of an identifier mostly since you want to use it to retrieve your bandwidth usage.
  • Now to get your bandwidth in mIRC, type: //echo -a $bdll(band,_)

    Important! The first 3 times you run this function, it'll return nothing but 0's, this is standard procedure, so the 4th time will start showing the following things:

    downloadbytes uploadbytes downloadkilobytes uploadkilobytes

    So 4 numbers each time.

That's it...

Hey. I'm having a few problems with band.dll. Which one did you recommend to him in the private message Mentality?

I have a nice stats script that I use that displays bandwidth from all sources (not just mIRC related ones) and can display privately and to others. It also has many other stats including OS (with install date), mobo info, cpu info, etc. It is just called Stats. It's by Abe2000 or Abe2002 or something like that. I'm not at home, so can't check. If you want the link for it, msg me (I probably won't see this message again with it being an older thread like this).
