Forums mIRC Help Mirc Install help ... gets stuck at the end

hi iv been trying to install mirc for a few days .. iv used it serveral times before and never had this problem .. seems that when i install it .. whether its the lastest version or one of the older ones .. it gets stuck at the end of the install and goes to "not responding" at the point were it says "extracting urls.ini" and then i have to end the install as it will go no further

i am running windows xp w/ sp1 on an amd 64 .. not sure if that helps .. but htought it might ... .. if anyone knwos .. let me know ! thanx

seems the installation file isnt good.. you should try download the file again... and could your hard drive have bad sectors ?

If you were to end the installer .. you would find that mIRC
has actually been installed & any folders that are needed
inside the mIRC folder will be created on startup.

ya the folder is there .. one time i tried the exe after it had stopped installing on me and didnt work but seems to be working at the moment i ll post if i have any problems

i know the install file is good .. cause i downloaded it like 6 different times hah .. not sure on the bad sectors ..

See this post, I should imagine it's freezing at urls.ini.
