Hi I'm just wondering if the Script Engine of mIRC can come on a separate DLL file, so that it can be used in other applications developped for IRC.

In This way developers of these applications will not give a huge effort to develop a new scripting language similar to mIRC because they want to save the trouble of their applications users to learn a new scripting language while most of them are familiar with mIRC.

In addition Khalid could make benifis of that if he made it a commercial DLL file.

So What do you think ?

I actually hope Khaled doesn't give out mIRC's scripting language. It's one of the good unique features about mIRC.

I totally agree. Even tho it would be much easier, I think people should expand their horizons, and not limit themselves to JUST the mIRC language. smile

mIRC script is alot like Perl; its easy to write things in. Perl dosent like to work well in Windows. Lots of good scripters write cool applications that dont need an IRC client attached to them. For them it would be cool to have a stand alone intupetor. I doubt this will ever happen though.
