Most of the time my downloads are very slow, i am on adsl 3mb and i receive and send files with others users that have fast connection.

most of the time I receive +-3k per sec....
I am not on modem dialup....

i think there is a bug....... i dont know how to fix, I allow the connection with mirc in my firewall....

I have tried Dirc and Icechat but i cant send files with them it doesnt work......

please need help....

For starters what the hell is 3 megas? Second alot of dsl isp's throttle the bandwidth so you will start out at like 15-20k then the speed drops off to 3-4k in just a few seconds and stays there.It's not a mirc problem.

Well I don't know what the problem is or whether it's mIRC, but the solution is obvious: Don't use mIRC as a filesharing client.


Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

adsl is crapola anyway, how far are ya from the exchange?

I dl at 350kb/s and ul at 80kb/s np over dcc and I have 3mbps/650kbps adsl

Yours my freind is the exception to prove the rule <snicker snicker>

I was really just meaning how it is effected by your distance from the exchange.
