I get unable to connect to serve message then my mirc says:

abbet[unknown@my IP] (Unauthorized connect)

On XP, have the firewall turned off always, have a linksys wireless g router. Enable my Port Range Forward for 6660 - 6669 with both protocols and my computers IP. I hate asking for help, been trying for a couple of hours to figure this out and my brains fried.

"Unauthorized connection" doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong on your side. Sometimes this error message is a result of server restrictions (e.g. blocked IP ranges).

Try other servers like irc.dal.net or irc.undernet.org. Are you still unable to connect? If so, which error message do you get now?
