Forums mIRC Help Cannot fully close MIRC

i am using 6.03.

after running mirc and i close it,my computer will not shutdown

upon investigating, i noticed that after i close mirc, it remains in the control-alt-delete menu
i cannot get it to end task.

any ideas?

I'd delete it and reinstall. Better still download it again, just to be sure that you have a good file.

If I remeber correctly there is a Q-bomb about this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base, I would try running Windows Update if you already haven't.

what is a Q-bomb?

Term used for the reference system that microsoft uses for bugs, errors, and other such pieces of information. Since they start with a Q, eg: Q12345

Well if you have ran windows update, installed fresh copy of mIRC, and MS doesn't have any information in the KB .. looks like you are stuck for now, since those would be the only places/ways to fix it I know of.

I'm assuming you downloaded mIRC from the official site - are you running any scripts? Have you tried a virus scan? Just a thought...
