I am having trouble understanding DDE. Am i correct in that it can send mesages from one mirc to another?
like i have a file lister, and since it can freeze mirc till its finished processing the files, i fiddled around and got it to open up in a second instance of mirc with //run $mircexe -i otherini.ini and made a lister just for the second mirc and put in a on start event. this works fine, but what i need to do is let the other mirc know when the processing is done. I tried making an alias in the first mirc and having the second mirc /dde mirc command "" ddead #channel Messge here , but that didnt work, the first mirc just said "You're not on a channel"
can someone give me a few pointers about how to send a message from one mirc to another?
