I have been using mIrc for years and sadly have never messed with scripting. I was wondering how to make a font and color scheme default for all channel windows as well as a background picture.

Like when I set a font for my status window, and join a channel, the font is back to default in the channel. How do i stop this from happening. I want to set a 'system' wide font for mIrc that it will always use. Thanks for any help!

When you click the window icon beside File in your mirc , you can go down to font and change it that way. Make sure you check off 'set as default'' . You need to do that for channel windows, status window, channel lists, queriers , finger windows to name a few..

Or use

• /font -z <fontsize> <fontname>

Use -<size>. to match the sizes shown in the '/font' dialog. (e.g. /font -z -9 arial)
