I have seen lots of different "Topics" when visiting different channels and the ones that I'm interested in using are the multicoloured ones that will start out as white, then graduallly through the colours go to deep red, then it may say something like "welcome to my channel", then the colour fade bit again. I know how to do this colour thing and how to set the topic but the problem I have is that the default topic length does not appear to be long enough to do this. I wonder if its a script that is run?

Can anyone help me out with this one and tell me how to do this or point me in the direction of some info?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Once you hit the topic length limit you cant go past it. While the limit may be different on different networks, you cant get around the limit itself and so your msg would be chopped off. Also, something to take into consideration is that instead of doing 2 colored spaces maybe try one during the fade if possible? *shrug*
