Here's a thought on smilies; make them a ctcp event so we can SIMPLY ignore them all together via channel switches, ignore switches, or script events. Those who WANT to see them will and those who DONT want to WONT WITHOUT longwinded flood prevention scripts etc. A simple ctcp ^*:smily:/haltdef would just eradicate them from IRC
