Could you explain a little better what you mean? An example (cut&paste) would be great.
If you mean the time stamp is not showing in the window then go through these menus View->Options then IRC->Messages and check the Timestamps box. The edit box should show something like "[HH:mm:ss]" (without the quote marks).
